About the Author

Sue Merrell graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 1970 and has written for newspapers in Texas, South Carolina, Illinois and Michigan. Technically she retired from The Grand Rapids Press two years ago but continues to review theater for The Press and Encore Michigan.

She lives on a lake in Grandville, MI, with her cat Cloudy. For fun, she makes mudpies on her potttery wheel or paddles her kayak .
